CALEB PONTON, CFRE
Caleb Ponton is a nonprofit development leader with over six years of experience building national donor networks, securing transformative gifts, and driving sustainable financial growth.
Caleb serves as Development Manager at Democracy North Carolina, where he leads individual giving and major donor relationships. He is also the founder of the creative arts hub, JUICEBOX DURHAM, and is a board member of the Harmony: NC LGBT+ Allied Chamber of Commerce.
As a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Caleb holds a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. He is a proud member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of NC Nonprofit Center, and a graduate of both the NC Nonprofit Management Institute and Kim Klein’s training course, “Fundraising for Social Change”.

After growing up in Wilmington, NC, Caleb earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Appalachian State University. His background includes roles with the New Hanover County Board of Elections, Appalachian State’s Office of Outdoor Programs, The Peel Literature & Arts Review, Midtown Yoga, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
Caleb is an Eagle Scout, a marathon runner, and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). He believes in the power of community, the value of kindness, and that our greatest days are still ahead.
He currently resides between Durham and Wilmington, North Carolina, with his 8 year old pitbull, Travis.
