CALEB PONTON, CFRE
Caleb Ponton is a community organizer based in Wilmington, North Carolina.
He serves as Development Manager for Democracy NC, is a board member of the Harmony: NC LGBT+ Allied Chamber of Commerce, and is founder of the arts and culture hub, JUICEBOX DURHAM.
Caleb is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. He is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits. He is also a graduate of the NC Nonprofit Management Institute and Kim Klein’s training course, “Fundraising for Social Change.”
After growing up in Wilmington, NC, Caleb earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Appalachian State University. He has previously worked with the New Hanover County Board of Elections, Appalachian State's Office of Outdoor Programs, The Peel Literature & Arts Review, Midtown Yoga, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
Caleb is an Eagle Scout, a marathon runner, and a trained 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). He believes in the power of community, the value of kindness, and has faith that our greatest days are ahead of us.
